Ruben's tube.

Fire-based visualization of the sine wave in sound. I'd not heard of a Ruben's tube, which really doesn't mean much given that my background is in literature, but still. Less than 3 minutes long, well worth a look.

Hey, just stumbled upon your blog. I've been wanting to see this for a couple years (they did this demonstration in Physics class at my school but since I took Anatomy instead, I wasn't able to see it).

Hey I was blog surfing and stumbled onto yur site. Wow think I have found a soul mate "Rugby player first and foremost". I started playing Rugby in 1967 and last year was the first year I have missed.....but going to play again this year. Of course I liked the reat of your blog as well! I will visit agin and read some of your other posts. You may find some of the articles on my blog interesting, I think we seem similar......but soon there will be a post there about the origins of Rugby. I am just waiting for some photographs to go on there so some time in the next two weeks. Thanks again.

Thanks. Also, for the "what would the person I want to be do?" comment. Further contemplation required there.

Not to sound like all the spammy comments above me, but I really did come across your blog by random (hitting "next blog"). I was struck by this video becuase my maiden name is Ruben (and even after 10 years of being married, I still think of myself as a Ruben). I had no idea of the name's link to physics/fire.
So, thanks!
:)

Hi, Leigh, and thanks for the post--interesting coincidence! BTW, you should see the piles of really annoying spam that I've deleted just from this one item...sigh. Never ends.
